Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between operations, suppliers, and customers to ensure all specifications, quality, regulatory requirements, and expectations are met for purchased products.
  • Conduct supplier qualification, disqualification, and audit processes.
  • Perform regular quality control audits to ensure ongoing supplier compliance with company standards.
  • Initiate and follow up on incoming material First Article (FA) requests with suppliers, and manage APQP activities.
  • Review incoming supplies and products from suppliers to identify defects and ensure quality.
  • Act as a liaison between company management and suppliers to identify quality issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas contributing to flaws.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and any special assignments from the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience in QC/QA within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in QC 7 Tools, SPC, and equipment control & calibration.
  • Ability to use small measuring tools and issue inspection reports.
  • Understanding of 8D / Why analysis, uncertainty of measuring equipment, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Direct experience with supplier management and supplier audits is a plus.
