Coating Production Process Engineer - Acme International (Thailand ) Ltd.

The Coating Production Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring, controlling and continuously improving coating production processes to ensure stable production performance, product quality and process compliance. The role will ensure that coating processes are executed according to approved standard process requirements and that the resulting coating meets specified quality and performance requirements.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Safety & Good Documentation Practices

The associate shall demonstrate a basic awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, organizational safety requirements and Good Documentation Practices in their daily routines. Also, the associates are expected to be self-starters and continually improve his/her functional process to support the organization's strategies.

1. Coating Process Control & Production Support:

Monitor and control coating production processes to ensure compliance with approved process standards and specifications. Troubleshoot process abnormalities and support production to maintain stable and consistent coating quality.

1. New Product / New Process Introduction:

Manage and execute new product and new coating process introduction according to established procedures. Conduct process trials, validation and qualification before production release.

1. Process Change Management:

Manage coating process changes according to established change control procedures. Evaluate process impact, conduct necessary validation and ensure proper implementation and documentation.

1. Customer Sample & Application Support:

Support coating of customer samples using existing qualified coating processes and parameters. Conduct or coordinate coating performance measurements and evaluate results against customer requirements.

1. Equipment Improvement & Qualification:

Lead or support equipment upgrade, modification and improvement projects to enhance process capability and production performance. Support process testing and qualification of new coating equipment before production implementation.

1. Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency, yield and productivity while reducing process variation, waste and operating costs. Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization.

1. Safety & Compliance:

Ensure coating processes are operated in compliance with company safety requirements, procedures and applicable standards. Identify and mitigate process-related safety risks during production and process changes.

1. Process Documentation & Standardization:

Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, process specifications and other relevant process documentation. Ensure process standards are properly implemented and maintained in production. 

 Education, skills, knowledge and experience

What minimum knowledge, skills, and experience are required to perform this job competently?

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics or a related engineering discipline.
• Skills:
• 3-5 years experience in PVD, vacuum coating, thin film coating or other surface treatment processes.
• Experience in production process control, troubleshooting and process improvement.
