Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Maintain and improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System in compliance with FSSC 22000, GHP, HACCP, HALAL, customer requirements, legal requirements, and internal procedures.
- Review and control QA procedures, work instructions, forms, specifications, records, and related quality system documents.
- Lead and coordinate external audits, including certification audits, customer audits, regulatory audits, and third-party audits.
- Organize the internal audit program, follow up audit findings, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Manage customer complaints, including investigation, root cause analysis, correction, corrective/preventive action, and formal customer response.
- Verify artwork, product labels, claims, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with legal, customer, and internal requirements.
- Support HACCP, risk assessment, traceability, recall, validation, verification, and change management activities.
- Analyze quality and food safety data, including complaints, audit results, non-conformities, GMP findings, product defects, and QA KPIs.
- Prepare trend analysis reports and propose practical corrective, preventive, and improvement actions.
- Coordinate Production, QC, Warehouse, Logistics, R&D, Purchasing, Maintenance, HR, and other departments to ensure effective QA implementation.
- Provide training and support to employees on quality systems, food safety, GMP, HACCP, audit preparation, and customer requirements.
- Promote quality awareness, food safety culture, prevention mindset, and continual improvement across the organization.
- Report QA performance, significant issues, risks, and improvement plans to the Total Quality Manager and management team.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or other related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA, QC, Quality System, or Food Safety Management in the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience with FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, GHP, HACCP, HALAL, BRCGS, or customer audit standards.
- Experience in audit management, customer complaint handling, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, specification control, artwork review, and customer technical communication is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety management systems, GMP, HACCP, allergen control, traceability, recall, sanitation, pest control, labelling, and supplier quality management.
- Ability to conduct risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, and effectiveness verification.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive improvement actions.
- Good command of written and spoken English, especially for customer communication, audit responses, technical reports, and document review.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, follow-up, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented, systematic, proactive, and able to work under pressure with a prevention and continual improvement mindset.
