Responsibilities

1. Job Purpose

The Assistant Maintenance Manager – Dry Process is responsible for managing and improving maintenance activities of dry process equipment in PCB manufacturing. The role focuses on maximizing machine reliability, reducing downtime and defects, optimizing maintenance cost, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Maintenance Management
  • Plan, control, and supervise preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) for dry process equipment (e.g., drilling, routing, imaging, exposure, AOI).
  • Ensure high machine availability and reliability to support production targets.
  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
2.2 Equipment Performance & Improvement
  • Analyze machine performance and downtime using KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE).
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce breakdowns, defects, and scrap.
2.3 Cost & Spare Parts Management
  • Control maintenance budget, repair costs, and resource utilization.
  • Review and approve spare parts procurement and inventory levels.
  • Optimize spare parts usage while ensuring availability for critical equipment.
2.4 Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and engineers
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies, SOPs, and performance standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluation and skill development planning.
2.5 Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Promote safe working practices and conduct risk assessments.
  • Support audits (ISO, customer audits, EHS audits).
2.6 Coordination & Technical Support
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Liaise with machine suppliers and service providers for troubleshooting and upgrades.
  • Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and improvement projects.
2.7 Workplace Management
  • Ensure maintenance areas are well-organized following 5S and visual management standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation (maintenance records, manuals, SOPs).

Qualifications

3. Qualifications
3.1 Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

3.2 Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in maintenance in manufacturing industry.
  • At least 2–3 years in supervisory or assistant manager level.
  • Experience in PCB manufacturing or electronics industry is highly preferred.
3.3 Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems: PM, PdM, TPM.
  • Good understanding of dry process equipment in PCB (e.g., drilling, routing, laser, AOI, exposure).
  • Experience with PLC, automation systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools.
3.4 Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
3.5 Language
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
3.6 Other
  • Available to work on some Saturdays.
